The VEX AI Robotics Competition (VAIRC) is an advanced AI challenge for students, createing an opportunity for students to take their autonomous robots a level up in competition! Hiwonder AI Tool Kit is designed to empower VAIRC participants with essential tools to succeed. Powered by the Jetson Orin Nano, this kit includes a depth camera and a precision LiDAR system, providing advanced capabilities such as object recognition, gripping, placement, and obstacle-avoidance navigation. To help participants get started, the kit includes programming resources and tutorials, ensuring teams have a strong foundation to develop their custom solutions and achieve their best performance in VAIRC.
DaBai Depth Camera
Trained using the YOLO11 framework, this Depth Camera is capable of accurately identifying key targets such as red rings, blue rings, fixed posts, and moving posts. It ensures that robots can perform tasks efficiently, even in complex and dynamic environments.
EAI G4 LiDAR
The integrated G4 LiDAR system provides precise obstacle avoidance and navigation capabilities. It supports robot path planning and motion control, ensuring smooth and reliable operation during tasks.

【Target Detection and Moving Post Placement】The robot begins by scanning its surroundings to locate rings of its assigned color. Once a ring is identified, the robot automatically moves toward it and performs the gripping action. Afterward, the robot continues scanning to find a moving post. Upon locating the post, it accurately places the ring in the target position.
【Target Detection and Fixed Post Placement】In this scenario, the robot scans for rings of its assigned color, successfully identifying and gripping them. It then navigates to a fixed post, where the DaBai Depth Camera identifies the post’s position. The robot performs precise visual calibration and alignment before completing the accurate placement of the ring on the fixed post.
